About Us
Centrally located in Northwest Hillsborough County, Carencia grows drought-tolerant Florida native palms and woody ornamentals in containers ranging from liners to 45 gallons. Carencia specializes in growing silver and green saw palmettos, coonties, and needle palms all propagated on our property. Thousands are on-hand in specs your landscape architect will appreciate! Fully licensed and inspected by the State of Florida, Carencia is proud to grow the finest plant specimens designated as "Florida Fancy."

Armando Gomez-Cervantes, our Farm Manager, has also been a part of Carencia since its inception in 1996 and understands the growing processes for all our Florida plants.

Rose ("Rosie") Nimphius gave up a real job in banking to "bail-out" her overwhelmed sister, Alicia. Rosie believes it's not just the plants but customer service that counts.
